Meanwhile there is a proliferation of sites offering .pdf files of
music in the public domain, either works copyrighted before 1923 or
public domain works newly sequenced and not copyrighted.
A Google search on the keyword "free sheet music" and a site
restriction of .org (as opposed to .com) yields 17,600 hits.
The same with a site restriction of .edu yields 1,170 hits.
