Gary, I had an inguinal hernia repair 10 years ago and have had no
restrictions after the first couple of weeks. Playing is not an issue.

Subject: [kl] Tumors, hernia and the future of clarinet playing

I just had one walnut sized and several smaller tumors removed from my
bladder and found out I have a hernia in the lower abdominal area over the
pubic bone that will have to be fixed. Knowing there are several medical
people on this list I ask is this going to be the end of my clarinet
playing?

Has anyone else gone through this problem?
