It's 11PM EDT and I just came in from playing a concert that included Mozar=
t's Oboe =0D
Concerto and Tchaikovsky's Sym. #4.=C2=A0 There are some lovely clarinet mo=
ments in that =0D
Tchaikovsky,=C2=A0but if I had used a caramel tone it would have been the m=
ost gummed-up =0D
train wreck-of-a-symphony anyone ever heard!=C2=A0 =0D

Tone quality descriptions=C2=A0are subjective, at best.=C2=A0 Leave the car=
amel in the candy =0D
dish and just tell me I was wonderful.=C2=A0 It will make me feel just as g=
ood without =0D
having to wonder what someone actually meant when they said=C2=A0I "had ton=
e that was =0D
like a ribbon of=C2=A0caramel".=C2=A0 BTW, was the caramel hot or cooled?=
=C2=A0 Either way, it's a =0D
sticky situation.=0D
