On this date: Marian Anderson sang on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to a
crowd of over 75,000 people...1939. It was Easter that year. What a story!

Marian Anderson was amazing. It's appropriate to give her story a bit of
thought right now. Marian was from Philadelphia and the Penn. primary looms.
The US has both a black candidate and a woman candidate running for the top
leadership position in this country. Without people like Marian
Anderson.....it probably wouldn't be the case....
