For those of you in Southern California next weekend, the Los Angeles
Clarinet Choir will present a spring "pops" concert, "Cool Jazz and
Classic Faves," Saturday, April 5, at 8PM, at the La Crescenta
Presbyterian Church, 2902 Montrose Avenue, La Crescenta 91214, just off
the 210 freeway. Admission is $10 general/ $5 seniors and students.

The program will include: "Monochrome" for nine clarinets by Peter
Schickele; "Air" by J.S. Bach, arranged by Clare Fisher, with string
bassist Matt Gray; "Marriage of Figaro Overture" by W.A.Mozart, arranged
by Lucien Caillet; "Rikudim" by Jan Van der Roost, arranged by Maarten
Jense; "Two Water Colors" by Robert Roden; "Dodecaphonic Essay" by
Elliot del Borgo; "Two Contrasts" by Sammy Nestico; and Gounod's
"Funeral March of a Marionette" (better known as the Alfred Hitchcock
theme song) by James Lester.
