Mine's not a Lyre, but I use a M13 regularly. It's very similar to a
Clark Fobes that I also own. I think with the right reed and a great
deal of breath control, it can produce a very warm sound, but can be
difficult to tame in the upper registers of the instrument,
especially with thin reeds. Rico GCS Thick Blanks 3.5 and 4 are what
I use and they work very well with the mouthpiece, though 3.5 are
starting to become too thin for me as they are starting to sound bright.
