I use one myself and like it very much. I use it on both my clarinets
(R13 and E11 for marching) and it works well on both. I personally
use strength 4 Legere Quebecs with it. I found the 4 1/4 a bit too
hard for the mouthpiece and for my playing (plus, according to most
reed comparison charts, it's harder than the hardest Vandoren
recommended for that mouthpiece). But I've used it for almost two
years now and I've finally settled equipment-wise and my sound is
better than I could get on my old 5RV (can't remember if it was a
lyre or not). I've found that the resistance shoots up with a reed
that's too hard for the mouthpiece (I recall Vandoren recommends a 3
1/2 or 4 standard Vandoren reeds and 4 or 4 1/2 V12 Vandoren reeds.

I've tried four reeds on this mouthpiece: Vandoren Standards
(strength 3 1/2 and 4), Vandoren V12 (strength 4), Legere Standards
(strength 3 3/4 and 4), and Legere Quebecs (strength 4 and 4 1/4).
I've settled on the Legere Quebec strength 4 for concert season and
Legere Standard strength 3 3/4 for the marching season (to account
for the fact that I have to be loud to overcome the sound-absorbing
grass). These have worked well for me on this mouthpiece.

Anyone have any opinions on the Vandoren M13 Lyre mouthpiece?
