American Chamber Ensemble Tenth Annual Concert at Weill Recital Hall,
Carnegie Hall on March 22

On Saturday, March 22, at 2:00 p.m., the American Chamber Ensemble will
present their 10th annual concert at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall,
154 West 57th Street in Manhattan.

The concert, presented by MidAmerica Productions, features Nancy Bloomer
Deussen’s Trio for clarinet, violin and piano, Douglas Moore’s "Willow
Song" from The Ballad of Baby Doe and Quintet for clarinet and string
quartet, Robert Muczynski’s Fantasy Trio, Op. 26 for clarinet, cello and
piano, Marga Richter’s Fandango Fantasy for clarinet, violin, cello and
piano, Peter Schickele’s Quartet for clarinet, violin, cello and piano
and Virgil Thomson’s Five Portraits for Four Clarinets. The Moore and
Richter works are presented as part of the 2008 Festival of Long Island
Composers.

Performers for this concert will be ACE directors Blanche Abram, piano
and Naomi Drucker, clarinet, along with violinists Eriko Sato and
Deborah Wong, violist Lois Martin, cellist Chris Finckel and pianist
Marilyn Sherman Lehman.

Special guests will be soprano Karen Lehman, clarinetists Stanley
Drucker, Mindy Dragovich (alto clarinet) and Jess Gross (bass clarinet).
