To: Peofessor Foss,

Might you be related to the late Sterling Foss, an excellent saxophonist, with whom I served when I was in the Air Force some 50-plus years ago?

Also, while we're on the subject, how about the Rimsky-Korsakoff "Capriccio Espagnol" for a very florid and active Bb clarinet solo role?

Regards.
Harold

How about the Mendelssohn Italian Symphony 3. Con moto moderato ? I have played
this in several professional orchestras. Sometimes the clarinet parts were in
"A" and sometimes in "Bb" which would make for an interesting story twist that
the version being performed had Bb clarinet parts.
