Hi everyone,

Not sure if this made it through; I'm trying to find a musical (not necessarily literal) translation of an instruction at the start of a Jeanjean etude: "decomposez". One guess is that it means to subdivide, as this is a slow piece in long time signatures (6/4, 9/4). Have tried my dictionaries and online without success; any ideas?

Thanks,

Peter Stoll
