It is definitely a Buffet. I read the brand name off the barrel during one
close up.

I do want to comment on his improvisations. Many players, Frost included,
use the preponderence of their improvisatory flights by doing something at
the end of a phrase, usually at the point where the theme ends on the tonic.
So the ending is usually to start on the tonic, play a turn up to the third,
and then descend again to the tonic. It's OK, but there are many more
imaginative things that one can do. Improvisations are far less likely to be
added in the middle of a phrase, though Frost did that, too. His second
Eingang is worth commenting on. It was short to be sure, but it was also
unnecessarily flowery and very much out of character for a work from that
period. The purpose of the Eingang is to create a conclusion of a dominant
7th chord, which allows a swift transition back to the tonic. Personally, I
like them simple and short. 10-20 seconds should be the outer limit.
