Terry---I have been playing sax and clarinet on fixed bridges since 1986.
My restorative dentist was a hobby clarinet player. My teeth became really
loose; the underlying bone had eroded badly.

I play sax and clarinet as well as I ever did. The flute became more of a
problem, but I got thru that, after changing a head joint. However, I lost
the piccolo--I was a good piccolo player, but after restorative dentistry,
it sounded like a Halloween horn!

As everybody said--gotta find a dentist that knows the problems of
windplaying! Good luck!
