What "out" is that? To just neg him? Because that right is being taken
away. Keeping the money? Good Sellers don't do what your guy did, and
most eBay sellers ARE good sellers.

Having to leave Buyer Feedback by 3 days after the transaction is a joke.
What if I don't get the check yet, or you don't have the package yet, or it
doesn't clear??? Do we have to overnight everything now? And charge you
$$$ in FedEx? You won't have much buyer feedback after this, no seller
will leave Any.

Don't get me wrong - My very second transaction, I was screwed over as a
buyer, so I know where you are coming from. After 10 years of doing eBay,
I highly advise newbies or those who don't buy often to read the community
boards and see what can happen to them, and read about the latest scams.

I also tell buyers who are antsy to sell a few expensive things on eBay and
that way they can understand the transaction from the other side. Then you
know how it feels when you send out a $500 Kaspar mouthpiece, and the guy
charges back 5 weeks after the fact, without even asking for the refund or
telling you something was wrong. Then you worry about whether your Kaspar
is actually coming BACK. (It took 6 weeks after THAT to get it back.)

Good Sellers deserve to know about Bad Buyers who do stuff like this, too.
I had no "out" for that - I had already left positive feedback (and he never
left ANY for me)!!!

Now you all know why I have a huge caveat list on my auctions.

Speaking of chargeback: If you had charged that printer via PayPal, when it
arrived broken, you, too, could have had a credit card dispute (or a PayPal
dispute) and done a chargeback. PayPal is Not a bad thing. And they have a
great interest rate in their money market, usually higher than any brick and
mortar bank.

The changes eBay is making will turn it into the Load of Crap Auction Site.
The Little Guy - the Niche Seller - is going to leave. And the Little Guy
is where all the Good Stuff comes from! Bad Sellers will still be there,
they all eventually just disappear and come back under another name, so you
will Never know who you are buying from.

Meg Whitman left now for a reason. You can bet on that. The other thing
that is floating around the internets is that Maybe TPTB at eBay are doing
this because they want to distract sellers from the HUGE FEE HIKE they are
also instigating. Which, of course, the sellers will pass on to the
buyers. At least with my own site I won't have to worry about those.
