Dear List,

On a distinctly positive note in relation to Mr. Abato's passing, I just
recently received word from Harvey Phillips that the Burke-Phillips All
Star Band records are remastered and will be released this June. This
includes the famous (at least among clarinetists!) recording on the
Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto transcribed by Lucien Cailliet for Clarinet
and Clarinet Ensemble, with Mr. Abato as soloist.
