I saw LMM in New York back in 2000 or 2001, I forget which. In that
production, the tenor Vladimir Galouzine "took" soprano Catherine
Malfitano standing up, leaning her back against a refrigerator, the door
of which banged back in forth in rhythm. It was slightly disgusting and
extremely funny.
