None at all in the original Haydn, two in the Mozart orchestration. Sorry, I
can't remember which ones are needed but I have a C and don't recall using
it when I played that orchestration last year, which I would have done had
it been called for.

Hi folks,

I am playing the Haydn Creation in the spring and may
not have the music before the first rehearsal. I have
not been able to find definite information about which
clarinets are called for in the part. When i searched
on "Haydn Creation" on the woodwind website, i find
many glowing reports of how nice the clarinet parts
are, so i am glad to be able to play this gig. And
one hit did suggest that C clarinet might be called
for, but it wasn't really clear. It'd be nice to make
sure i have the instruments i need when i get there.
Can anyone tell me what instruments i need to bring?
