Thanks for you offer, Mike. If the Clark Fobes is not satisfactory, I'll be
in touch with you! Clark says he's had customers with Centered Tones have
excellent results with his mpce.

Where are you located? I'm in Lynchburg, Virginia.

I know a little about this since I make barrels too. Most aftermarket
barrels are not designed for many of the Selmer models. The bore and length
compared to a Buffet are different. The best thing to do for a Selmer
Vintage clarinet is to send the clarinet to a barrel maker that will measure

your clarinet and mouthpiece and make a barrel specifically for that
clarinet mouthpiece combination. It is more expensive than buying one that
is a standard stock item already made however that is how you will get the
best results. Fobes, Bakun, Chadash, and many others make excellent barrels
but unless they make a barrel specifically for the Selmer model you describe

chances are it won't work well for you.
