I never envisioned it with a faux instrument (like guitar hero). I always
envisioned it using the student's real instrument. As we all agree, a faux
instrument would be pointless, if not outright detrimental!

Ah, but if the game is designed with a microphone that picks up the sounds
from a real clarinet then problem solved.
Of course the manufacturer won't get any income from sales of the faux
clarinet.
