Few players in Phila. thought that Montanaro would succeed Gigliotti., I
certainly didn't.
Drucker's son played bass with the Stray Cats as Lee Rocker (Leon Drucker).

I gather Drucker the younger is or was a rock guitarist. How'd you like
to play clarinet when your father is Stanley Drucker? Eeek.

Other thing...succession. I somehow got the idea that Mark Nuccio was
the Heir Apparent. I was and am probably wrong. Then again, I suppose
there were people who assumed Montanaro was going to succeed Gigliotti.
Those in the know: do orchestras promote to Principal from within, or is
it "reasonable and customary"to go outside?
