If you're willing to expand to
performer-composer-improvisor then I recommend
listening to music by people like Louis Sclavis,
Jacques Di Donato, Armand Angster, Michel Portal,
Denis Colin (all from France).

Two of my best CDs are by Trio De Clarinettes which
includes the first three musicians I mentioned.

One of them is the trio live on FMP -
http://www.fmp-online.de/eframeset.htm (not the most
user friendly website)- click on CATALOGUE (bottom
left) - on the left list scroll to TRIO DE CLARINETTES
and click.

The other is Double Trio Green Dolphy Suite on Enja -
