While what you describe is implied in Jonathan's post...the fact that we are
talking about the "connection" between two notes, using a word to describe
the particular "way or style", is what I was getting at. Sorry if I was
unclear.

"legato between two notes"....might be better understood if it was described
as "connection between two notes, using a legato
technique/style/connection..etc. There are many ways to connect two notes
and as you have mentioned in some of your posts, many different a subtle
ways to connect notes in a "legato" style.
