The reason why Bill had never seen the C clarinet part is because the
publisher took the matter in their own hands, and produced a part only for
B-flat clarinet.

This is not now the time to address this somewhat disgraceful behavior on
the part of the publisher, but I'll get around to it.

But for the party trying to get a B-flat part, contact Kalmus. They are in
Florida, and they will sell you a single part from a work. So you call and
ask for the B-flat clarinet part for the Mendellsohn work in question. Make
sure they understand exactly what you want. Use to be that you could the
part for $2.00.

I just looked at the Orchestral Musician's CD ROM Library for this piece
and roughly 4 of the 5 pages are for C clarinet and the other page for
B-flat.
