A concert of special interest to this list will air nationwide in the USA at
9 p.m. EST on WETA-FM radio. Dan Leeson wrote about the Library of
Congress's online package, but I didn't realize until I went to the website
that this concert is also being broadcast on the radio.

Dan wrote,
>>On Monday, Dec. 10 at 9 a.m. the Library of Congress will release
>>a new chapter of their famous concert series. The chapter that they
>>will install contains three items of interest. FIRST will be the
>>manuscript of K. 361. SECOND will be the magnificent performance
>>of the work by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Tony Pay
>>was playing 1st clarinet on that performance. But as magnificent as
>>was his playing, keep your eyes on their string bass player. Here is
>>the small and very feminine woman who simply ate the part alive.
>>Such musicianship, such involvement! Later I had dinner with her
>>as well as the rest of the band, and she is simply charming and a
>>wonderful musician. THIRD will be the audio of the lecture that I
>>gave in the Whittall Room at the Library of Congress and which
>>preceded the concert.
>>
>>That was quite some evening, I assure you.
>>
>>You will find the item on www.loc.gov. But the package will not go up
>>before 12/10/07 at 9 a.m.

I went to the concert--every bit as outstanding as Dan says! Dan, thanks
for the heads-up.
