I've recently started using a Legere No. 3 reed on my bass clarinet and
it sounds great. I'd like to get one for my alto clarinet as well, but
I checked the Legere web site and also searched wwbw.com and it seems
they don't make them for alto.

Would an alto sax reed work? Sorry if that's a dumb question, I just
remember that I've used tenor sax reeds on bass clarinet in a pinch, so
I was thinking the same might be true for alto sax and alto clarinet.
My alto mouthpiece is a Vandoren 5RV, if that matters.
