Obviously, I hadn't intended to inflict the screechy sounds of I-C-E on the
whole list and I had intended to only email you, but thanks for replying. I
greatly admire Martin Frost's playing and performance, but - in spite of his
brilliance - I would like to hear him much further out of his comfort zone
when he is to doing free improv (at least as far as the YouTube link
illustrated). It seemed to me that he was utilising too many of the
classical-like riffs that must fall to his fingers as naturally as you or I
breath, and I thought this gave it something of a party piece quality. It
would be interesting to hear him collaborate with some of the more radical
practitioners in that area, as Louis Sclavis and Michel Portal have done.
