Boston Conservatory of Music and Clarinet Faculty Director Michael
Norsworthy Announce October 21 Clarinet Day

The Boston Conservatory of Music and its clarinet faculty Director
Michael Norsworthy announce the first annual Clarinet Day at the Boston
Conservatory. This event will take place on October 21, 2007 at the
Conservatory, 8 The Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts.

The day's events, which will begin at 9 AM and run all day until the 8
PM closing concert, will include masterclasses by some of the top
professionals in the field, vendor exhibits from the leading
manufacturers of instruments, reeds, mouthpieces and top quality repair
people, presentations and demonstrations by vendors on their newest
products and a final concert featuring all of the attending professional
artists.

Clarinet Day at the Boston Conservatory 2007 has been created to bring
together the clarinet community in Boston and beyond for a day of
musical collaboration and education at The Boston Conservatory.

Artists include Thomas Martin of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Jessica
Phillips of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Michael Norsworthy,
Director of the Boston Conservatory clarinet faculty and soloist with
the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Ian Greitzer of the Boston Pops
Esplanade Orchestra and Rhode Island Philharmonic and Jonathan Cohler -
soloist and member of the Boston Conservatory faculty.

Vendors include Buffet Crampon, Conn-Selmer, Backun Musical, Orsi &
Weir, Yamaha, Rico, Vandoren, David French Music, Gary Gorczyca
Instrument Repair, and more.

Vendor attendees include Francois Kloc, Morrie Backun, Rory Mazzela,
Gary Gorczyca, John Weir, Eric French and many others.
