Hi list,

Just wondering what other private lesson teachers do for cancelled lessons.

Around here the standard is 24 hours notice some say 48 hours. But do you =
care why or just that they give you early notice?

I had a student say they wouldn't be at his lesson on Halloween. I think t=
he reason for not being at a lesson has to be suitable as in a school/band =
required function, sudden illness, sudden death in the family, etc. But tri=
ck-or-treating doesn't cut it. And if I can't get my students to move up t=
o fill the time, then that's a half an hour that I'm sitting there NOT gett=
ing paid.

A friend of mine said that as long as they give adequate notice, he doesn't=
care.

Thoughts?
