Sorry Mark. That is not a true statement. You still can be assigned to
non-musician duties from any Air Force Band though this is very unusual.

I believe what you were trying to say is the only service where you are
recruited and treated strictly as a musician is the Air Force.

You are also JUST a musician in the U.S.Marine Band (The President'sOwn)
(DC) but there you are NOT a Marine (most people do not know this) but serve
under a "personal service contract" dressed as a Marine.

If you are fortunate enough to serve in any of the Academy Bands or The
Army, Navy, Air Force, and Field Band (all based in DC), you job is music,
though you do have to graduate from Basic Training for that service.
