Vincent just a little side note, I know you are looking for information on =
the band. BUT my husband joined the Marine Corps with the best ASVAB score =
that all four services were fighting over him. He was suppose to go into In=
tel and once he got to basic training they offered him $1000 to go into Inf=
antry, he said okay as he didnt know better.....HE NEVER GOT THE MONEY!!!!!=
He also told me one of his jobs was to train the band for "security"....so=
yes you ARE a RIFLEMAN FIRST and a BAND MEMBER SECOND! Please Please do no=
t believe the recuriter they will lie just so they can make their numbers a=
s they need a certain amount each month and most will do anything to make t=
hem. Both my brother and my husband got screwed by a recuriter.....We are a=
ll very experienced in all of this stuff and we are just trying to help you=
in your decision, if you want to join the Marine Corps go for it they are =
a great service, but if you are intent on being in the band you
might as well forget the Marine Corps because your horn will be sitting an=
d you will be using your M16 more. Good luck!=0A Anastacia Caldwell=0A=0A=
