Hello all,

I apologize for not responding earlier, but I have been swamped here at
my day job the last couple of days.

Keith was indeed kind enough to call and check on my order as he also
was wanting to order some of the same reeds. Very shortly after he
talked with them, I did receive an e-mail from them with a tracking #
and they were very concerned that they had not received any of my
inquiries.

Being the e-mail administrator for the firm that I work for, I can say
that it is quite common today for any kind of e-mail to be caught in a
spam filter. I myself work with spam filters all day long. They work,
but are not perfect by any means and I know that our beloved list
moderator would agree also.

I wanted to say that I did not intend to use the forum as a way of
embarrassing them, and I do not think my e-mail came across that way. I
hope that Howarth understands on such a small order it was not practical
at the time to make the international phone call when e-mail is just as
good and should have worked. Perhaps other customers have been trying to
get hold of them and this experience will actually help them solve what
the problem is.

I also think that this list is an excellent way to obtain information
like this quickly, and I am amazed at how many people did respond to my
request for assistance and I thank you all.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

To quell the speculation: I phoned Howarth's this morning on Tom's
behalf, and the mail order person confirmed that the order was shipped
the day after it was received. It is probably stuck in US customs. I
have given Tom the tracking number, so he can take it from there.

The mail order person had not received Tom's emails, but I gave her his
address and he should be hearing from her shortly. She was very
apologetic and insisted that she replies to all the emails she receives
from customers.

I have had very good service from them in the past and indeed placed
another order when I called today.
