That's a shame, because I believe it is our greatest concerto. If
you're serious about becoming a clarinetist, you need to learn this
piece before your freshman year of University is over. If you're
lagging behind the people who decided at 13 they want to be a
clarinetist, you can still catch up. I insist that all of my music
majors learn it before they graduate from UW.

Back in 9th grade (1979) it only cost $5 :)
Not that I could play it particularly well then, but it was a great piece to
"cut my teeth" on. I'd say though that the greatest piece for Clarinet Solo
and Orchestra is the Debussy Rhapsodie.

Felino - Joze Kotar has a new release of the Tomasi Concerto (and the very,
very rare recording of the Bozza Concerto) on ITunes (Internationally
available). The Clarinet Magazine just reviewed Kotar's Solo Recording which
is also
on Itunes to preview.
