To quell the speculation: I phoned Howarth's this morning on Tom's behalf,
and the mail order person confirmed that the order was shipped the day after
it was received. It is probably stuck in US customs. I have given Tom the
tracking number, so he can take it from there.

The mail order person had not received Tom's emails, but I gave her his
address and he should be hearing from her shortly. She was very apologetic
and insisted that she replies to all the emails she receives from customers.

I have had very good service from them in the past and indeed placed another
order when I called today.
