Well, I could hazard a wild guess that since it is relatively
uncommon, you simply haven't been around a large enough community of
clarinetists long enough to hear about it. Of course, I have no idea
where you live or with whom you associate so I may be completely off
base. I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't been in New York
studying with Leon Russianoff, who associated with just about everyone,
and at Juilliard where Stanley Drucker teaches, so I could hear about
it from his students. And when I worked at Russianoff's store, I heard
about it further from pros who needed new instruments.
