You can make a metal peg that is the exact diameter to
get into the holder but just under it is bigger
diameter. You can try to make it very accurate to your
height (maybe with shoes) so it would just rest on the
wider part while playing and it will be in correct
height. This way it will never slip. At worst you'll
need the clarinet just above the taper and if it slips
it would just slip a little only to the wider part.
