A few more possibilities. The group I play with has used all of these,
save the Aubin, in concert and other settings.

Le Calme de la Mer - Tony Aubin - Leduc, AL 23375

These 2 are in the Van Cott listing and good fun, though completely
different:
-- Libby Larsen - Barn Dances - challenging; mvt 3 (not technically
difficult) is serenely beautiful
-- Dmitri Shostakovich - Four Waltzes (1. cl & piano; 2. fl & piano; 3
& 4 fl, cl & piano

Available from Walter Grabner:
-- Draganski - Trio from Rio - fl, cl, pno

Others:
Arrangements by R. Denwood, published by Phoenix Music: (intermediate
technical demands, but especially good for other than concert settings
or perhaps an encore)
-- Borodin - Nocturne from String Quartet #2 - PM 9189
-- Rossini - Cats' Duet - PM 9079
-- Borodin - Theme from Polovstian Dances - PM 9194
-- Debussy - Golliwogs Cakewalk - PM 9135
-- Satie - Le Piccadilly - PM 9136
-- Faure - Pavane, op. 50 - PM 9081
-- Faure - Sicilienne, op. 78 - PM 9082

If the clarinetist is willing to transpose:
-- William Grant Still - Miniatures (fl, ob, piano) - Oxford
University Press: five American tunes (US, Mexico, Peru). Transpose
the oboe part for clarinet.
-- Delibes - Duo des Fleurs, transcription by Nerni - Editions Henry
Lemoine, 1997. I play the 2nd flute part on A clarinet rather than
play in C#.
-- Bach, JS - Concerto for Violin and Oboe in d minor, BWV 1060 - 2.
Adagio - flute takes the violin part, clarinet the oboe. (The entire
concerto works well with violin while the clarinet takes the oboe
part.)

I'm trying to find some music for clarinet, flute and piano. Any
suggestions
would be appreciated. I have searched the archives a little, but would
love
to know more about what is available for this particular combination.

Thanks,
Mary

Hi Mary,

Here are four suggestions which I have copied and pasted from my Web
page:

Alexander, A., Grand Quatuor for clarinet, flute, violin and cello
(ca.=
1804)

This came from "Case X" (rare manuscripts) at=20
Berkeley. It was one of the earliest things I=20
sequenced and afterward I was a little=20
embarrassed because sometimes there are reasons=20
why pieces haven't been republished in more than=20
200 years. Anyway, I played it with a live group=20
a couple of months ago and they liked it! What a=20
hoot. Anyway, you'd have to give the violin and=20
cello parts to the piano, but I think it would work O.K.

Beethoven, Ludwig van, Trio in G major, Wo O 37=20
for Piano, Flute and Bb Clarinet (transcribed from bassoon)

Again, you'd have download this from my site and print out the parts.

Danzi, Franz, Sinfonia Concertante, Opus 41 for Flute, Bb Clarinet
and=
Piano.

This is very definitely available in this form=20
and it is a delight to play, though I heard the=20
orchestral version on the radio recently and I'll=20
never again be satisfied with the piano reduction.

Saint-Sa=EBns, Camille, Tarentelle, Opus 6, for Flute, A Clarinet and=
Orchestra.

This is really fabulous to play along with a=20
flutist and computer accompaniment. I'm not sure=20
if it is available in a piano reduction.

Good luck!

Oliver

Michael Webster has arranged a lot of piano four hand music for this
combination and some of it is published. He teaches at the Shepherd
School
of Music-Rice University.
