I found myself "trapped" a couple of years ago at the Disneyland
Hotel in Anaheim serving as the MC for the college night kick-off
mixer for the national meeting of the American Chemical Society. The
DJ had turned the volume up to an ear-splitting level and without an
objective measure of the volume I didn't feel that I was in a
position to tell him to turn it down.
