Wow. Thanks, Felino, for the link. I'm glad to see also that the
producer of the video took advantage of the Fair Use Doctrine and
didn't cave in to asking for permission.

My "on the road laptop" always gave me problems at higher volumes
until I took the time to hook up the output to an oscilloscope. Come
to find out that in my version of Windows XP the control panel gave
me some control over PCM or the "pulse code modulation". At higher
levels of the slider, the amplitudes were being clipped, resulting in
distortion for some instruments producing momentarily loud
notes. Purchasing a PCMCIA sound card completely solved my problem.
