It is certainly worth trying Teflon tape which seems to accommodate
small differences in barrel socket sizes quite well. You could
possibly try recorking the mouthpiece; I find that over time the cork
loses its elasticity. I had this problem with my A and Bb clarinets
and eventually solved it by replacing the barrel on my A. I think you
will have to consider this.
