No idea at all. I heard it at the summer palace in St. Petersburg several
years ago. My memory (old) says that it was "cute" but that there was not
much to it.

I don't believe it is the work you are looking for because Shchedrin didn't
start composing until he was in his 20's (in the mid-1950's) which is way
later than the date of the 1930's or earlier for the piece you are looking
for.
