MIles Davis albums over several decades include a surprising amount
of bass clarinet action. The instrument appears frequently in the
albums with Gil Evans arrangements (especially Sketches of Spain).
Davis sought out Bennie Maupin to play bass clarinet on Bitches Brew.
And on many albums from his last years, collaborating with Marcus
Miller, the producer played bass clarinet himself (see Tutu and Siesta).
