Hello Ellis
Here are some recommendations.
Eric Dolphy. Some of my favorite albums from him are
Out To Lunch, Out There, Far Cry, there are many more
good ones. He also played on many albums as sideman
for example with Coltrane and Mingus.
Michel Portal. Dockings is good. His two duo albums
with Richard Galliano are good, Blow Up and Concerts
(they havea lot of the same tracks).
Louis Scalvis. One of the best bass clarinetists and
jazz musicians. Clarinettes is a CD where he
overdubbed all parts. From his trio of African music
Carnet De Routes is best and Suite Africane is also
very good. Laffrontement Des Pretendants is great.
Double Trio - Green Dolphy Suite is one of the best
CDs. Ceux Qui Veillent La Nuit is also very good.
Denis Colin. In Situ à Banlieues Bleues is excellent.
