Bill, though I hate to even think it, I believe that this guy was
deadly serious. He is, after all, in Macedonia where he may be
the fastest clarinet player in town or in the whole area. There
are guys in the hills of Kentucky who believe themselves to be
the banjo player in the whole region.

I'm probably just too gullible, but I think he believed himself
to be making a real contribution.

It's just too awful to be a joke, like "America Has Talent." Some
of those people need to be in chains.

I'm afraid that the idea that anyone could possibly take this
seriously is even funnier than the performance itself. With all
respect to Mozart (which is incalculable), this is no worse than
some
of his own bawdy, overboard musical jokes.
