Dear List,

To answer some questions and provide some updates:

There is no back stock available of the Cailliet Golden Crest LP. The
current owners of Golden Crest were surprised to find out it even existed.

The plot thickens in regards to the Leblanc connection. I found this
information elsewhere:

LB-4162 LeBlanc Complete Clarinet Choir (released by LeBlanc
Publications, Inc. Kenosha, Wisconsin)
The Leblanc Clarinet Choir. Conducted by Dr. Lucien Cailliet A 23
piece wind ensemble consisting of Ab sopranino,
Eb soprano, Bb soprano, Eb alto, Bb bass, Eb contra-alto, Bb
contrabass clarinets, Basset horn and trombone.
(side A) J.S. Bach: Chorale Awake, Awake the Voice is Calling,
Mozart: Overture to The Marriage of Figaro,
Bizet: Adagietto from L'Arlisienne Suite, Dimitus: Hora Stacatto
(side B) Nougues: Quo Vadis, Tschaikovsky: Violin Concerto
(Canzonetta and Finale), Cailliet: Samba, Fantaisie

A different LP with a very similar (but not exact) track listing. I
have no joke here, I just like to say "trombone". I suspect this is
the Leblanc promotional album people have told me they recall, which
once again leaves the Golden Crest LP as a mystery.

I am particularly intrigued by the Tschaikovsky. Mr. Abato has told
me he often played the second movement as an alto saxophone solo with
clarinet choir accompaniment. One wonders!

Yours truly,

-Adam
