In general out print music or other materials is by
date. That is most any music written and published up
to 1924 is generally considered to be public domain.
However, that does not include music from outside the
US. What may be PD in Europe is not always PD in the
US and the same holds true for Asia, Canada, South
America and Australia and New Zealand.
