In Jackson, TN there is a community concert band and community Jazz Band. =
There is a single $25 fee which covers either or both groups. The money =
goes to program publishing, advertising posters, music purchase. I have =
conducted the concert band in the past and that position rotates between =
the various college and high school directors in the area. We all donate =
our services and often use our own music libraries. My University donates =
the use of the band room (because I think it is critical for adult music =
education) for the Monday night rehearsals.
