Hi Chane,

I went through the same thing about 2 years ago. I finally found a music
professor who happened to have both programs installed and was familiar
(somewhat) with both. I had her sit down with me and show me how to do a
series of common tasks, such as scanning - printing, etc. Based on that we
both agreed the Sibelius was the more user friendly and actually more
accurate in scanning than was Finale.

That was two years ago. I don't know what changes have been made to Sibelius
or Finale since (I still use Sibelius ver 3). Perhaps the newer versions
would impress me differently.

Either way, the GUI does not necessarily make everything easy. There is
still a learning curve.

I am ready to get a notation program and a stuck between Finale and
Sibelius. What do you think? I have been using Lilypond, but the lack of a
GUI is killer.
