Thanks to Tom Henson for this heads up. I as a
Canadian ICA and Klarinet member felt very sad that
there seemed to be some storm clouds hanging over this
particular event, and hope that some of the major
instrument/mouthpiece makers and vendors will
reconsider coming. I can assure you as a Canuck that I
am really hoping to get to meet a lot of
international colleagues and try all that cool stuff
here in July!

FWIW I'm playing as part of a shared recital July 5
(looks to be starting at around 4:45). I'll be playing
a wild Greek-folk improv inspired piece by a major
Greek-Canadian composer (Christos Hatzis) and a short
improv of my own on a neat Lithuanian folk clarinet.
Hope some of you can come!
