There's nothing really hard in it. Send in the Clowns is the only awkward
part i remember, being in some high number of sharps. Most of the songs
just have lots of repetition
Book one is a typical flute book (picc, flute, alto fl. with a little
clarinet)
Book two is some of flute and some clarinet.
There's a clarinet/bass clarinet book, but there wasn't much bass and it
wasn't very hard, if I recall. (i was playing the second book)
Book four is oboe/english horn.
Book five is clarinet/bassoon.
Cute show!

Have been asked at short notice to play for this Sondheim musical.
Unfortunately I haven't got the music yet.
1. Can anyone give me some guidance as to the movements to watch (If it is
all of Act 1 and Act 11, then I might have a problem) I have listened to a
CD of it and it appears to be relatively playable (and absolutely gorgeous
misc), but confirmation of this would be appreciated.
2. On the CD, there is a bass clarinet as well at times, but is difficult to
tell whether this is a double for the clarinet player or the bassonist or a
separate part. Have been asked to take a bass as well and swap to it where
necessary. Hm. Again any guidance would be welcome.
best wishes
