I'm an on-again, off-again member of a group which recently reminded
me of a Czech or perhaps Hungarian film which dates back to the
60s. I can't remember the title but I figure that there are a few of
you here who might remember it.

The plot revolved around two former classmates at the national
conservatory of music. After graduation one became a violinist in
the national orchestra and the other took a job out in the country
directing a community orchestra. The director of the rural orchestra
invites his old buddy to be a guest soloist at an upcoming
concert. The violinist arrives in his sports car with his girlfriend
(with whom he has every intention of bedding down, much to the
consternation of people in the village) and the plot develops from
there. It is little more than a replay of the country mouse/city
mouse story but it has some amusing similarities to an experience I
recently had and I'd like to search for it if I can find the title.

Anyone remember the film?
