Hi,
what kinda repertoire do you play? Oliver? Jelly Roll? Ory? Preservation?
Kid Thomas called his band, following an old tradition, Joy Makers, which
you might combine with Arkansas, even though this appears to be somewhat of
a paradox: Dixieland is supposed to be a synonym for Louisiana?

I usually make up names based on titles by Jelly Roll Morton, as his music
is very important for me (e.g.. Sweet Peter, Milenburg Joy Makers, Royal
Jellies, Court House Bumpers, Sweet Substitutes, Smoke House Jazz Band); The
old bands had names like: Superior Orchestra, Royal O., Magnolia O.,
Peerless O., Golden Rule O., Imperial O., ...

best regards,
danyel
